Baby Shower Cupcakes -- Utah Custom Cupcakes
This last weekend I was asked to make a cupcake tower for a very special baby shower. The couple are expecting twins in August and had a huge party for all their friends and family to come and celebrate with them. I used my new cricut cake to make the cupcake toppers. Love this cake!! Congrats to Gary and Rima!

Gluten Free cakes can be decorated just like any other cake, our buttercream and homemade fondant are naturally gluten free and all the ingredients we use are guaranteed to be gluten free.
Gluten free cakes are a little more expensive because of the cost of the ingredients is higher, but we only charge extra for the difference in cost. Since usually its a member of the wedding party that is GF a lot of brides choose to do only their top tier gluten free for cutting at the reception. Occasionally we do have people who want the whole cake GF and they love it. Cake Couture is working hard to get the word out and help you find us. We recently teamed up with Shaybee's in Springville, and will soon be featured at Jaxies in Spanish Fork as well. If you haven't been to either of these places you need to check them out! Jaxies has the best food and drinks ever and is such a fun place to hang out. And Shaybee's is the cutest boutique store with a counter of chocolates and other treats.

Easter Treats -- Utah Cake Balls
I'm trying to come up with some sweet treats to sell in the store. Here are a few ideas I tried out today. My inspiration comes from Bakerella. Can't wait for her book to come out.
Cake Couture Decorator Position
With the move to a new location, and the extra business that is going to mean Cake Couture is looking for an experienced decorator to join our team.
It is part time, 2 days a week with the possibility for more as we grow.
You need to have at least a few years decorating experience with fondant and gumpaste. Please send any pictures that you have that you think best represent your work.
If your interested in getting your foot in the door contact me at kari (at) utahcakecouture (dot) com and we can talk about the details. We move to the new location the 15th of April and it's looking to be a busy busy wedding season so don't delay!

Wedding Cake Giveaway - Utah Wedding Cake
At the beginning of the year I decided it would be fun to do a giveaway via my facebook fan page. So I posted the contest and got tons of entries! This cute couple were the lucky winners.( Hope you don't mind me using your picture ;) )
Heathers cake was so much fun to do. To create something for such a special day for someone is the highlight of this job. That's why I love it. Heather thanks for letting me be a part of your day and congratulations.
Heathers cake also came out of the oven with a heart in the the top tier. If that's not a good sign I don't know what is ;)
Here's a sweet review I got from Heather today in my email :)" Kari, my husband and I just wanted to thank you for doing an AMAZING job on our wedding cake!! It was everything that I had ever dreamed of and more, and I was SO happy when I walked into the reception and saw it. It was breathtaking. And everyone was thoroughly impressed by how good it tasted!! The flavors were so rich, and it was so moist, not dry and airy like most wedding cakes. My mother-in-law as well as many other people said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. I couldn't have been more pleased. Reid and I cut into our frozen cake top for our 1 month anniversary because we just couldn't wait to eat more than the one bite we had at our reception. It was so delicious, and we have been savoring it. Thank you SO MUCH for doing such a wonderful job and for doing it for free!! It was honestly a dream come true. March Fondant and Gumpaste Class

Busy Busy!
Big Changes are in the works!!! In just a few weeks Cake Couture is moving to a retail location in Springville! We'll be joining Sweet Creations by Funfinity as they open their first store!
Cake Couture will be renting their commercial kitchen and making all our cakes and goodies from there. It's going to be a big change from the home kitchen but an exciting opportunity! This means a better availability and more great cakes! Cake Couture will also be hiring so if you or someone you know has some decorating skills send us an email and maybe you'll be working with us soon!
So stay tuned to hear all about our fun trying to get everything moved over and figured out, and be sure to come into the store once it's open to try some of our great flavors and see what surpirses we may be offering!

Hello! I guess it's about time I started posting on here! Some big changes are in the works for Cake Couture, it's very exciting!
I just have to say thank you to all my fans for your referrals and continued support that have made this possible. And thanks to Evelyn at Freckles Photography for helping to make this happen! If it hadn't been for you I may not have had this chance for many more years. So thank you!!
